Teaching the periodic table: a look at some journals in the field

This article presents a study of the subject: Periodic Table, based on publications found in a period of five years, including two jounals, Redequim and QNEsc, considered significant for the area of Chemistry Teaching. The objective of the paper was to investigate what has been produced about the Periodic Table (PT) in this period of time. The research presents a qualitative approach, and in terms of objectives, it is characterized as a descriptive literature review. The data analysis chosen was the Content Analysis, and among the results, we found ten publications with different approaches, which were grouped into four categories of analysis, namely: The ludic in the Periodic Table, Contextualizing the Teaching of PT, Conceptions on PT and Approaches and. Inclusion for the teaching of PT. From this study, we observed that varied pedagogical strategies were developed, with the aim of qualifying the teaching and learning processes of PT. We consider this manuscript as a systematization of some developed practices, which seek to improve the understanding of PT concepts and that support educators in the re-elaboration of their plans.
