This article will presente a section of the results of a master’s degree research that proposed understanding the meaning that the diferente semiotic modes used in the production of mathematical Cartoons generatr in collectives of human and non-human actors participating in the VI Festival of Digital Videos and Mathematics Education. A qualitative methodology was used, and the data production procedures and instruments were the selection of Cartoons-type vídeos that were finalists at the VI Festival of Digital Videos and Mathematics Education in the Higher Education (ES) category and interviews with the vídeo producers which took place online, via Google Meet and Whatsapp. The analysis took place based on the requirements of the Beings-Humans-With-Media System (S-H-C-M) according to the principle of the Theory of Activity and Multivocality ando n the lens of Social Semiotics (SS), considering the multimodal approach. The results indicated that, in the contexto of mathematical Cartoons, semiotic modes are used to share mathematical concepts in na uncomplicated way. For students, meanings can be related to accessible language, engagement, understanding complex concepts, contextualization and personalization. For teachers, the semiotic modes used in these vídeos can help presente modes used in these vídeos can help presente concepts in a more engaging and attractive way.
