This study investigates how students in Youth and Adult Education mobilize knowledge of Financial Mathematics from the perspective of Problem Solving. This investigation occurred during the first stage of the High School Supervised Internship in a High School Youth and Adult Education class, located in a school in the southwest of Paraná. The presente study constitutes a qualitative research, whose data collection took place through participante observation and application of questionnaires. The data shows that, in general, the students solved the proposed situations, which enabled them to think productively, develop logical reasoning, and get involved with mathematical applications. It should be noted that Financial Mathematics offered an opportunity to engage students, providing them with a practical and meaningful understanding of mathematical concepts. Finally, it was observed that the activities contributed to improving mathematics teaching, enabling students to develop essential mathematical skills and promoting a deeper and more critical understanding of the concepts of Financial Mathematics.
