This article addresses the intricate phenomenological problem of the ground of intentionality as the essence of manifestation, particularly within the realm of hermeneutic ontology. It specifically examines the accusation that hermeneutic phenomenology, in its analysis of the constitutive structures of phenomenalization, fails to definitively establish both the essence of the intentionality and the essence of the phenomenon of truth. The central purpose is to elucidate the interdependence between the mentioned themes and how they compose the discussed problematic. In this context, it seeks to demonstrate how fundamental ontology, aligned with its hermeneutic orientation, indicates an inherent opacity in human existence. This is achieved by preserving the conceptual architecture of a genetic remission to the dimension of subjective immanence as the basis of meaningfulness. In contrast to this perspective, and rejecting any immanentist resolution, it is argued that, as a characteristic determination of human existence, at the most basic level of significant experience, intentional openness is enabled. In this binding openness, the senses of being are projected by understanding and normatively constitute the conditions of possibility for the identity, individuation, and phenomenalization of the beings which we engage in qualified behaviors.
