The curricular contents of the disciplines of history and geography make it possible to address aspects of daily life in the initial years, considering the proposals of science for this. Studying the place of life of the subjects is the possibility of contextualizing situations introduced in relatively complex spaces a times. Having defined the curricular scope based on the proposals of the National Base Comum Curricular – BNCC, we seek the articulation between what is visible in the landscapes and what they express in their materiality and in the intangible perspective. It starts from the delimitation with contents, skills and competencies, and seeks, through work with images, to guide the discussions and build the arguments. The work is carried out with the postcard as a motivator for access to information, considering that this genre can contribute to reading the world. The objective is to reflect on the possibility of broadening the student's perspective in relation to the place and the world in which they live, observing the space represented, as well as the way in which the people of the place live, what socio-environmental problems are present; By interpreting reality, it is possible for students to position themselves in front of all these issues and take responsibility for the city and the way it is built.
