The use of fire improperly and intensely causes problems in the physical-chemical and biological aspects of soils, deteriorates air quality, reduces biodiversity and harms human health. Part of this action occurs due to the population's lack of knowledge about the consequences of fire. Given this, the aim of the work was to describe the development of informative material on a free online platform in booklet format, about fires, focusing on data from the city of Divinópolis (MG). The informative texts in the booklet were written after a bibliographical survey of the city's local reality, writing the themes in a simple and accessible way and subsequent review. Next, the visual identity of the booklet and final review were developed. Final considerations indicate the relevance of actions for Environmental Education in local situations. It is expected that this material will contribute to increasing awareness and modifying behavior to prevent irregular fires.
