This work aims to report the experiences of three undergraduate Biological Sciences students at Federal University of Pelotas in the context of conducting internship in high school, relating the points of convergence and divergence between their pedagogical practices. The internship experiences took place in a municipal public school in Pelotas/RS from March to July 2022. In the current period of return to face-to-face classes after two years of social isolation due COVID-19 pandemic, it is necessary that the curriculum and teaching practice be rethought in order to make school a more pleasant place, as well as the Biology classes more interesting for the students. From analysis and reflection of the internship experience, it was noticed that indiscipline and lack of motivation from the students, in addition to limited class time due to reduction of the workload in high school as reflection of current educational policies were factors of convergence observed by the three student teachers. The pedagogical alternative used by the interns to try to overcome difficulties encountered was to associate the concepts of Biology with transversal and contemporary themes, providing a space for dialogue and protagonism in the teaching and learning processes of the students.
