In recent decades, much has been studied about welfare and the Positive Psychology approach has influenced the field of study, especially about people management and organizational behavior, strengthening focus with a person-centered perspective. Coupled with this theoretical framework, some occasional changes in the nature and context of the work support the need for a greater focus on well-being. This multidimensional psychological construct may involve components such as job satisfaction and engagement. This is an area of research that is becoming increasingly important for public health. In this study, it is intended to shed light on the theme by focusing on knowledge of the above and on the specific consequences regarding well-being at work. It is expected to contribute theoretically to this field of study by discussing it in different ways, allowing better understanding of well-being at work. It is important to highlight that, it reflects broad events that occurred in society, from an external perspective and reflects the performance of the People Management area. Pressures at work and in society at large are creating a growing threat to the well-being of employees, necessitating more striking action in this area. The literature and the organizational reality show the lack of an alternative approach, which people management prioritizes practices aimed at improving well-being, resulting in a positive employment relationship. In other words, people management does not yet act effectively with a focus on well-being at work because it is neglected or unaware of its effects.
