The Gestão & Sustentabilidade Journal (RG&S) concludes its 2024 edition with 16 articles published across its four thematic sections: Solid Waste Management (4 articles), Environmental Impact Assessment and Mitigation (2 articles), Organizational Sustainability (8 articles), and Technologies Applied to Waste Valorization (2 articles).
Throughout the year, we observed performance indicators that support the editorial decision to realign RG&S towards topics more closely related to environmental issues. The journal received 47 submissions, with 12 rejections and an average acceptance time of 62 days—demonstrating our commitment to the agility that scientific research and researchers demand. In terms of publication impact, the journal recorded 19,958 page views and 1,074 full-text downloads (Vol. 6, No. 1 – 2024).
We are sincerely grateful to the more than 90 reviewers who contributed their insights, expertise, and critical assessments, enhancing the relevance and quality of the articles published. Their dedication was essential in ensuring that each publication meaningfully contributes to the body of scientific knowledge. As we close the year 2024, the editors are confident that the commitment to improving RG&S has been honored, and that we are making steady progress in promoting the dissemination of high-quality scientific content.
Looking ahead to the 2025 edition, our primary goals are to sustain the growth and quality of the journal's publications and to seek indexation in major databases, thereby increasing the visibility of the journal and its contributions within the global scientific community.
