O desenvolvimento da capacidade absortiva em franquias
análise de casos de franquias de supermercados
Resumo
Neste estudo analisamos empiricamente o modelo de capacidade absortiva desenvolvido por Zahra e George, (2002). Especificamente, analisamos a perspectiva do processo de integração da capacidade absortiva em suas quatro dimensões: aquisição, assimilação, transformação e exploração em franquias de supermercados. Realizamos duas entrevistas e observação nos pontos de venda dos franqueados para investigar o efeito da capacidade absortiva do conhecimento do sistema de franquias e seu impacto nos resultados do negócio. Argumentamos que a conversão para o sistema de franquias tem um impacto positivo no desempenho e que este efeito é fortalecido por meio da absorção do know-how do sistema de franquias. Nosso estudo contribui para a literatura de aprendizado em franquias e, numa ótica gerencial, pode servir de orientação para as práticas de franquia.
