Abstract

At the end of XIX century, the crimes considered as “sensation” begin to occupy space in the pages of carioca’s newspapers. Such histories was diffuses by big editorials’ dispositive that give rise such the extraordinary as report a little of the problems lived by the lectors. This article has the objective to analyze from the case of “Tragedy of Januzzi’s street” why some crimes, instead others, deserves to be signified e repaired in the public space, mobilizing speeches and experiences of different social actors to their understanding
