Author Guidelines

Submission Preparation Checklist

 

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission’s compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

 

  • The contribution is original and unpublished, and is not being evaluated for publication by another journal; otherwise, it must be justified in "Comments for the editor";
  • The submission file is in Microsoft Word (.DOC or .DOCX);
  • URLs for references were provided when possible;
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics instead of underlining (except in URL addresses); Figures and tables are inserted in the text, not at the end of the document in the form of attachments;
  • The text follows the style standards and bibliographic requirements described in Guidelines for Authors, on the About the Journal page.

 

Author Guidelines

Rules for submitting publications:

 

  • The “Author date” system must be used;
  • The files sent for submission are in open text format (.DOC or .DOCX);
  • The text must contain the title, abstracts and keywords in the languages ​​indicated by the journal;
  • If the text was originally written in English, it must contain a summary and keywords in English and in Portuguese;
  • The author must keep their registration profile updated and, for the purpose of submitting a new text, completely fill in the information items indicated in the Submission Preparation Checklist above;
  • Information about authors must contain the following data: full name with correct spelling; ORCID (see: orcid.org); affiliation: institution, city, state and country (in no case should affiliations be accompanied by the authors' degrees or mini-résumés. These, when present, must be published separately from the affiliations as author's notes); email; complete physical postal address of the corresponding author, which may be the institutional one, provided at the end of the article; source of research funding (if any); potential conflicts of interest (if any);
  • Optionally, authors may indicate at the end of the article: a) acknowledgments; b) mini-curriculum: academic and professional training;
  • Figures and tables must have their place indicated in the text and be sent in a separate file, with program identification and version;
  • Bibliographic information must be correct and in accordance with the standards adopted by the journal;
  • The publication of a work is conditioned to the referees’ approval. The originality of the treatment of the topic, the consistency and rigor of the approach, and its contribution to the thematic line are taken into account. The names of the reviewers will remain confidential, and the names of the authors will also be omitted from the reviewers;
  • The page size must be A4, line spacing 1.5;
  • Page limit - Articles and translations: 25 pages; Interviews: 15 pages; Reviews: 10 pages;
  • The spontaneous submission of articles and subsequent acceptance for publication automatically implies the transfer of the rights of the first publication to the Journal. Intellectual copyright remains with the author. Any subsequent reproduction, by any means, may only be made with prior understanding between the Journal and the author and with due citation of the source;
  • The concepts expressed in the works are the exclusive responsibility of the authors, and do not necessarily reflect the opinion of the Editorial Committee and the Editorial Board.



Criteria adopted for selection/evaluation of submitted articles (peer review):

 

  • Submissions will be accepted from Research Professors linked to Postgraduate programs or other research institutions, as well as master's and doctoral students;
  •  As part of the submission process, authors are required to verify the submission's compliance with all items required in the submission standards. Submissions that do not comply with the standards will be returned to the authors;
  • Standards to be used: As this is a case of migration, the standards to be used will remain the same as those currently adopted by the journal Intuitio, which are listed in the item Rules for submitting Publications above. In the more specific case of standardization of published works, the journal will adopt the “Author date” system.

The names and addresses provided in this journal will be used exclusively for the services provided by this publication, and will not be made available for other purposes or to third parties.

Todas as submissões devem atender aos seguintes requisitos.

  • A contribuição é original e inédita, e não está sendo avaliada para publicação por outra revista; caso contrário, deve-se justificar em "Comentários ao editor".
  • O arquivo da submissão está em formato Microsoft Word, OpenOffice ou RTF.
  • URLs para as referências foram informadas quando possível.
  • O texto está em espaço simples; usa uma fonte de 12-pontos; emprega itálico em vez de sublinhado (exceto em endereços URL); as figuras e tabelas estão inseridas no texto, não no final do documento na forma de anexos.
  • O texto segue os padrões de estilo e requisitos bibliográficos descritos em Diretrizes para Autores, na página Sobre a Revista.
