Revista Gestão & Sustentabilidade 2019
Vol. 1 No. 1 (2019)jan./dec. 2019
Dear readers of the Gestão & Sustentabilidade Journal (RG&S),
It is with great pleasure that we present the first issue of our journal for the year 2019. RG&S has adopted a continuous publication model, resulting in one issue per year. The journal is managed by the Research Group on Operations and Sustainability Management (GOS) at the Federal University of Fronteira Sul (UFFS), Chapecó Campus, Santa Catarina, Brazil.
RG&S is organized into four sections: People and Organizational Management, Organizational Finance, Organizational Management, and Organizational Sustainability. We welcome scientific contributions in the form of empirical studies, theoretical essays, teaching cases, articles stemming from undergraduate research programs, and technical reports.
These sections are designed to make knowledge more accessible to our readers and authors. The editorial board is committed to the continuous improvement of the journal’s publication process, offering content that supports researchers and students at both undergraduate and graduate levels in their academic endeavors.
We would also like to emphasize that the achievements attained thus far—and those yet to come—would not be possible without the authors who have recognized the value of our journal. We also extend our sincere thanks to the reviewers, who generously dedicate their time, effort, and expertise to evaluate the submitted manuscripts. Their availability and commitment have enabled us to ensure the quality of the articles already published and those currently under review.

Revista Gestão & Sustentabilidade
Vol. 4 No. 1 (2022)jan./dec. 2022
Dear readers, authors, and collaborators of RG&S,
The Gestão e Sustentabilidade Journal (RG&S) was founded within the Research Group on Operations Management and Sustainability (GOS) at the Federal University of Fronteira Sul (UFFS), Chapecó/SC campus, with the mission of serving as a platform for the dissemination of scientific knowledge.
Over time, however, we recognized the need to expand the group of professors collaborating with the journal in order to enhance its visibility and development, aiming for higher academic standards and qualification.
In this edition, we have therefore welcomed additional faculty researchers from other UFFS campuses into the editorial team. At the same time, the journal has been formally dissociated from the GOS research group and its scope has been redefined to place a greater emphasis on sustainability.
We hope these changes will bring increased visibility and new opportunities for RG&S as a valuable instrument for the dissemination of scientific knowledge.

Revista Gestão & Sustentabilidade
Vol. 5 No. 1 (2023)jan./dec. 2023
The Gestão & Sustentabilidade Journal (RG&S) proudly presents its first issue following a comprehensive reformulation of both its scope and editorial team, including new Editor-in-Chief and Section Editors. This restructuring aimed to align the journal more closely with topics related to sustainability and environmental impacts, recognizing their growing relevance in contemporary society. Accordingly, RG&S is now organized into four sections: Solid Waste Management, Environmental Impact Assessment and Mitigation, Organizational Sustainability, and Technologies Applied to Waste Valorization.
It is also worth highlighting the redesign of the journal's website, which now clearly communicates the strategies adopted to enhance RG&S's Qualis classification and its future indexing in databases such as Scopus, Redalyc, Web of Science, and SciELO. Going forward, the journal is committed to streamlining and strengthening the peer review process, ensuring timeliness and maintaining a continuous publication flow of submitted and accepted papers.
The articles featured in this issue have undergone a rigorous peer-review process, made possible by a dedicated group of qualified reviewers in the journal’s core areas of contribution. We are confident that these publications will contribute to the advancement of scientific knowledge and help RG&S fulfill its mission to disseminate high-quality research.
We wish all readers an insightful and rewarding read.
