Este ensaio investiga diferentes definições de sustentabilidade e sua interação com as Instituições de Ensino Superior. O objetivo é compreender como essas interpretações influenciam políticas, práticas e discursos nas universidades, bem como o impacto das redes de intercâmbio comunicativo entre elas. Com uma abordagem qualitativa, reflexiva e analítica, fundamentada em discussões acadêmicas já estabelecidas, o estudo explora a complexidade e os desafios envolvidos na adoção de práticas sustentáveis, examinando também os mecanismos de mensuração, as estruturas discursivas e o papel das redes universitárias na promoção da sustentabilidade.
