Gestão da Qualidade e o ESG no setor industrial: Uma revisão da literatura

A crescente pressão global por desenvolvimento sustentável tem impulsionado as organizações industriais a harmonizarem objetivos econômicos, sociais e ambientais. Paralelamente, a Gestão da Qualidade (GQ) evoluiu de um foco no controle estatístico para uma perspectiva empresarial mais estratégica, que considera as necessidades de todas as partes interessadas. Diante desse cenário, este estudo realizou uma revisão bibliométrica da literatura para analisar a relação entre a GQ e os pilares ambiental, social e governança (do inglês, Environmental, Social and Governance - ESG) no setor industrial. Com a aplicação do Methodi Ordinatio, que envolve a seleção, coleta, classificação e leitura de artigos científicos, resultou em um portfólio final de 67 artigos, publicados entre os anos de 2004 e 2024 e disponíveis nas bases de dados Scopus e Web of Science (WOS). A produção científica demonstrou uma distribuição heterogênea entre os países, ausência de concentração de autores e foco em publicações recentes, indicando tratar-se de um campo de pesquisa em estágio inicial. Os resultados da análise indicaram que a GQ, com sua ênfase em processos, melhoria contínua e foco no cliente, desempenha um papel essencial na jornada ESG das organizações. Ela impulsiona avanços nos pilares ambiental, social e de governança. Quando bem desenvolvida e integrada, a GQ fortalece a capacidade das empresas de superar desafios de mercado e de sustentabilidade.
